Survey 70 - "What is your dream job? "
Throughout October we ran the same survey on 5 different industry sites to make a comparison between them. We asked what Engineers, Sales people, IT workers, Construction workers and Accountants thought their dream job was and gave them options of some of the most desirable jobs around along with the option of what they are currently doing.
Interestingly, the majority of respondents voted for the job they are currently doing showing that most workers are happy with their job and doing what they always had dreamt.
Accountants were the happiest with 89% of respondents in the accountancy industry saying their dream job was actually accountancy.
The next industry to represent the most content workers was construction. 47% of construction respondents felt they were performing their dream job. 11% however did dream of being footballers.
34% of IT workers felt they were performing their dream job but this was followed closely with the dream of being a footballer.
The two least content industry workers were those in engineering and sales. Only 26% of engineers were doing their dream job and even worse, only 21% of sales staff felt sales was their dream job. 16% of sales people dreamt about being a film star, 16% a footballer and 16% a food critique. 18% of engineers dreamt about being film stars.
